Hello friends,
One of my favorite times of the year has always been Back-to-School. Schools have an energy, a buzz, and a personality of their own, something I have always found very energizing. Although school has been back in session for several weeks now, Literacy Now just kicked off our school year last week as we welcomed back our amazing program delivery staff. Our meeting room at Grace Presbyterian Church was filled with chatter, laughter, hugs, and happy noise as everyone greeted one another and took time to reconnect before getting down to the day’s business.
As a leader, nothing makes me happier than to see that room filled with employees who are excited to prepare for and meet their new students, are happy to work alongside their teammates, and are 100% committed to Literacy Now’s vision that every child will read on grade level!
We have accomplished so much in our 16+ year history and have never grown more than in the past three years. I’m excited to share our 2022-23 Impact Report in this newsletter and thank YOU for making everything we do possible! Despite a few challenges posed by the changing landscape in education, we are looking forward to the future with great anticipation and have many new opportunities on the horizon.
Each of YOU are partners in this work that we are privileged to do every day and we absolutely could not do it without YOU. I look forward to your continued support as together, we empower kids to read!
