October Newsletter 2021

Monthly Newsletters

Dear friends,

Well, it’s been a bit of a bumpy ride thanks to a few growing pains, but our Reading Intervention program is off to a great start!  Whose idea was it to increase our schools served by 50% during a pandemic and a teacher shortage?  All kidding aside, as always, our incredible staff has risen to the occasion to do whatever it takes to ensure the children and families we are serving have THE BEST programming. Despite multiple challenges, the level of dedication, skill, love, and team work exemplified by our staff continues to humble me, and as a leader, I could not be more proud of our team!

Bumpy ride aside, we are so excited to be 100% in person with ALL programs and look forward to the first days for Reading Express and Lunch Bunch later this month.  A BIG “thank you” to all returning and new volunteers who are enabling those two programs to thrive after a year of being totally virtual . . . the children and adults are so excited to BE together, again!

Of course, none of this would be possible without you, our incredible supporters and volunteers, and for that, we send a heart felt thank you.  As you can see below, it’s a bee hive of activity at Literacy Now AND there are many ways you can join in the activity.  I cannot wait to be with you!

Blessings,

Jacque Daughtry
