Dear friends,
November is a month in which we traditionally turn our hearts and minds toward giving thanks for our many blessings. The past 20 months have been difficult for all of us and for some, almost unbearable, as we’ve experienced division, isolation, illness, death, anxiety brought on by “waiting for the other shoe to drop,” and so much more. BUT, despite all of these things, at Literacy Now there IS hope for the future and much for which we are thankful: we are continuing to grow and serve more children, we are in a healthy financial position, we have amazingly dedicated and passionate employees and volunteers, our donors are extremely generous, we get to do the work we are called to do each day and serve with joy among the most amazing people, and so much more. So, today, I invite YOU to join me in focusing your thoughts on these blessings and the blessings in your life and know that we are thankful for YOU!
