Hello friends,
Happy New Year to YOU, our amazing Literacy Now family and friends!
I don’t know about you, but for multiple years, I’ve searched for a word that would be my focus for the new year. In the quiet of New Year’s Eve sitting in the glow of our Christmas tree lights, my word for 2024 came to me . . . intentionality.
Although we don’t know how many days we have here on earth, we all have 24 hours each day. I don’t know about you, but I want to use mine well in service to others so intentionality with my time, thoughts, words, and actions is just what I need to ensure that not one day in 2024 is squandered.
How about you, what’s your word? Shoot me an email: jacque@literacynowhouston.org – I’d love to hear it!
We have so much to look forward to during the spring semester and hope you will be intentional about investing your time to support our kiddos by participating in one or more of these spring events:
- Houston Reads Day
- LOTS of parent workshops
- Multiple Open House events giving YOU the opportunity to see us in action, let me know if you’d like to join in.
- Book distributions for our kiddos
- 10th annual Guild Luncheon on May 3rd
- Sharing/listening tour with our COO, Jacklyn, and me as we meet one-on-one with YOU. If you’d like to sign up for a meeting, please contact me.
Blessings,
Jacque Daughtry
