Dear friends,
March Madness has nothing on May Madness…testing and final exams; the flurry of year-end performances and parties; awards and graduation ceremonies; and finally, desk and locker clean-outs. Ahh, the rhythm of a school year.
At Literacy Now, our programs are wrapping up too as year-end meetings are taking place to discuss student growth and plans for next year. We could not be more excited about the future as we continue to serve more and more students (and their families). Although we’ve increased the number of Reading Intervention students served by 134% in only 3 school years, sadly, this is just a drop in the ocean of students who need our program.
We cannot do this work alone; it takes ALL community members and many organizations working together toward a common goal. Soon we will be unveiling our 2023-26 Strategic Plan that will include some new and bold ideas about how to achieve major growth strategically and sustainably.
The power of community is STRONG at Literacy Now and we are so incredibly grateful for YOU, our community, that will help us turn our drop into an ever-widening river that will quench that ocean of need.
