Andrea attended the University of Houston Downtown where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Interdisciplinary Studies degree in 2019. She has been in the field of education since then, including as an interventionist in HISD for 3 years. During that time Andrea supported struggling students with reading and math skills. She most recently was a teacher in a play based school for PK3 and enjoyed bringing reading to life.
Andrea loves working for non-profit organizations that support low-income families and enjoys teaching all age groups. She also loves animals, with four cats and two 2 dogs at home. In her free time Andrea enjoys nature, reading, and fostering animals.
