We’re So Excited!

We recently celebrated the official launch of Houston Reads Day 2025 with past and new sponsors, school partners, and volunteers! We are beyond excited to engage with over 14,000 Pre-K – 5th grade students during our 5th annual event on February 28,2025.

If you’re eager to inspire and empower kids to read, reach out to Ken Kelly to expore various opportunities available for you to make a difference.

And The Award Goes To … Literacy Now

We are thrilled to share that Literacy Now has achieved the 2nd highest ranking among medium-sized companies in the Houston Business Journal’s Best Places to Work! This recognition reflects our dedication to fostering a positive and nurturing work environment. Thank you to our incredible team for contributing to a workplace where we can all thrive and grow together.

Jacque Daughtry attended the Hollywood-inspired awards ceremony dressed as Audrey Hepburn to accept our award.

Absolutely Phenomenal!

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Phenomenal Pearls Educational and Charitable Foundation  for their generous donation of more than 500 books to support Literacy Now and the students we serve! Their incredible book drive has made a significant impact on our literacy efforts, and their commitment to the community inspires us. We look forward to continuing our partnership to empower kids to read!

What’s Your Why?

Recently, several Literacy Now Board Members met with our staff to strengthen connections and explore each other’s motivations. It was inspiring to hear various reasons that fuel our collective passion for supporting children.

Jacklyn would love to hear from you; please e-mail her and share your why.

Blessings,
The Literacy Now Houston Team
