How long have you been a Literacy Now volunteer?
I volunteered during the Guild Luncheon in 2021 and so shortly after that I actually joined the guild.
Which program or activity have you volunteered for?
As a volunteer, I toured one of the elementary schools, volunteered at one of the Family Literacy Nights, and Chaired the Auction & Raffle for the Guild Luncheon this year.
Please describe what you enjoy most about volunteering for Literacy Now.
What I like most about this organizations particularly in comparison with others, is that Literacy Now has prioritized their program needs — like having the stability of paid staff in schools — and truly diving deep into the issue instead of a broader but more shallow treatment of the problem. In addition, I truly enjoy working with the other volunteers in the Guild.
